Our History

Construction of McDougle Middle School started in 1993 and the school opened in the fall of 1994.  Officially named the Charles and Lucile McDougle Middle School, the school was dedicated on November 6, 1994.  Mr. McDougle was a teacher, principal and central office administrator in a career that covered over forty years.  Mrs. McDougle was an elementary and high school teacher whose career in education also spanned over forty years. Students entering the school in its first year chose the Mustang as the school’s mascot and red and black for the school’s colors.
